This is very likely DOGE related. If you look at a repetitive pattern in the DOGE findings it was that antiquated information systems enables the fraud, waste, and abuse. And, that the systems made it practically impossible for the President’s core team to manage the Executive Branch.
I’ve been saying for months now one of the DOGE objectives is to create an AI application that enables the President and his team to actually monitor and manage the Executive Branch. The software will eliminate the ability of the DS to hide their money laundering activities through the various Executive Agencies.
I haven’t totally digested the prohibition of states to attempt to regulate the AI systems being developed and deployed under this Act. I suspect that in order to receive Federal funding the States will be required to allow the AI to link with State-Level systems to monitor the usage of Federal funds.
If I’m correct this 10 year term is meant to block the DS from simply moving their activities down to the state level and having states enact laws to prohibit transparency.
My thoughts exactly. I don't really see a problem with this - AI is the ONLY way to get control back from the sprawling government spending, corruption and nuanced and deliberately obfuscated relationships among shell companies, NGOs, etc.
As long as AI isn't allowed to "make decisions" - which would require a massive change in the Constitution, this has the potential to greatly accelerate the Great Awakening.
We don't have true AI yet. All we have is what's called a large language learning model. You have to train it to get it to do the things you want it to do. But what the AI is good at is trolling through massive amounts of information to find what you want and it's also good at doing grunt level calculations and parsing through data and condensing it into a form that's easy to understand for the user
I should also add, this could very well be a maneuver to prohibit radical states like CA to hamstring our AI development capabilities, giving China and others an advantage in the long term. This secures our dominance in the AI space - something I would certainly prefer to the alternative.
The "radical" reforms to government have all been window dressing to this point. Things that look like change but the machine grinds on unfettered. Something truly radical has to happen and fast or else I fear we've descending past the point of no return.

Excellent point. Radical CA guv NewScum definitely would do everything in his power to hamstring MAGA and MAHA. You can count on that!
I'm 5th gen Northern CA and I am HOLDING THE LINE.
AI is a tool. Who controls it is what matters. It can be used to root out corruption, or standardize it.
I wonder if Trump has been the "good guy" just to slip AI in for total control. Maybe he is just another one of them too? What a depressing thought...

Seems we could be fast tracking to "the mark". Hope I'm wrong.
A double edged sword maybe? Hopefully.
that's the basis of this claim of prohibiting state or subdivision levels to enforce the limits, restrictions or regulations.
Doing so would then amount to a federal crime.
In certain ways, this looks like a new power is being invented, but it is the good old: interstate commerce clause.
If the Administration has time for this, it also has time to
DESTROY THE ATF!
States cant make anybrules for any AI used in interstate commerce. Otherwise they can. Commerce clause covers the rest.
