Remember he posed a paper tape program of infinite length (and because a paper tape has width and thickness, it means infinite volume). If there were any space left over, that condition would be violated. Your example does not apply to continuums of the same kind (volumetric).
No compromise. Just a lack of realization of what he was actually proposing. More like nearsightedness; not seeing the larger implications. Not a good showing for someone who is pontificating on artificial intelligence.
You're talking nonsense. My abstract example extrapolates to an infinite number of dimensions. Not just 3. But no matter. My time and energy is not infinite. You win.
Hey, I got a Boeing question. Do you think any of the many (but not infinite) troubles with the Boeing aircraft could possibly be staged, and not actual construction quality problems? Are you allowed to comment, or did you sign your freedom away with an NDA?
No staged errors. The whole production process is supposed to be focused on no error. If there are lapses, that is a serious problem with supervisory oversight and the lack of procedural controls. (Not too surprising, from the cost-cutting mentality that took over upon the merger in 1997.) There are union members building those airplanes WHOSE FAMILY MEMBERS FLY ON THEM. My union pals would be shocked and disgusted at these errors. Of course, the plant in South Carolina is non-union... I think I read somewhere that Boeing was going to purchase back the Spirit Aerospace plant in Wichita where the 737 fuselages are built, to unify the quality control across the product line.
I don't think there's any guidance system anywhere that's not using Quaternions. That's 4D thinking right there. Get used to it. 😀
(Just don't ask me to do 5D. I have to pretend to understand the 4D stuff)
What the heck are you doing here if you can't even entertain the mere possibility of a conspiracy? You can't possibly hope to put all this crazy back in the box.
I know of quaternions, but mathematics is not physics, a point that seems to elude you. You may be in tune with many theoretical physicists who have gotten lost in the idea that mathematics is reality (e.g., string theory). The simple 4D stuff is 3 dimensions in space and one in time...but there is no "spacetime." Being able to plot relationships does not establish that time is a physical continuum.
I don't bother to entertain "mere" possibilities. They need to be motivated by legitimate evidence, not just a desire to construct them. Nuclear fusion (ITER) is misrepresented as being "clean" energy. CERN is chasing a vain pursuit. Ever higher energies => ever more particles. Does no one realize that they are only multiplying questions and not answering any? It doesn't help their case when they claim to have created the "God particle."
What "crazy" back in what "box"? I don't decode slang very well. (It may be as simple as shutting off the money, but I really need to know what you are referring to.)
