He’s also either a Texas Army Guard or Reservist Green Beret (with a CIB) who re-enlisted in the Army (~2017) after Trump was first elected. IOW, he’s pretty much a kick-ass hard-charger MAGA type.
I think Trump invited Kennedy and other UFC fighters to the event as his special guests. Kennedy has a fairly prominent social media presence, given his unique background, influence, and zero f*cks attitude.
