Ok firstly. You write beautifully well. And sorry to take so long to reply.
With such a well-written, logically stepped out think piece - it would have been disrespectful to do so in a rush.
Ahead of tackling our (now - I think minor) differences of opinion, I want to really emphasise how full of respect and grateful I am for how you presented your case.
In my daily doings in life, I simply cannot be bothered any more disagreeing with normies on any narrative inanity, because they cannot engage on substance - every question I ask is answered with the pre-packaged regime scapegoating ("anti-vaxxer", "conspiracy theorist", "misogynist", "anti-Semite").
You did not do that, you did not even come within the same zip code of doing that. You engaged on ideas. While I disagree with you (albeit to a much lesser degree than I did before reading your rebuttal), the fact that there are people in this world like you who still behave in an enlightened way - well it gives me hope for humanity. So thank you.
Firstly, let's hammer some commonality to the mast. Philosophically, in the way you describe Zionism - I have spent my whole life as a Zionist. I had enthusiastically supported how Israel defended that right to exist in the first five decades or so.
However, since my curiousity about how the world has taken such a dark terminal twist over the past quarter of a century, has led me to question everything. One of my questions is about whether Zionism has taken a dark and terminal twist of late too. I now doubt Zionism is solely about a right to exist.
I think our difference of opinion has roots in the credibility of the data points you premised your argument on. 7 October seems foundational, underpinning your logical conclusions. If the narrative as presented for the events of October 7 is accepted as gospel, then no reasonable mind could disagree with the scorched earth jihad by the Netanyahu regime.
However, being a part of this forum and the great awakening has taught us all that when a perfectly packaged, black and white narrative media bomb goes off on all channels - that it is likely a psyop. Designed to manufacture consent for some unholy, anti-human event. And when that carefully curated narrative is launched, our responsibility is to question, question, question, always question!
And there are so many unanswered questions about October 7, that I believe your premise that 10/7 is reason enough for what has transpired since - well I'm not on board with that.
Turning to the Iranian regime. I am right with you. It is a cancer in the world. But, I am struggling to see any government regime in any country at this point in time as anything other than cancerous. The jury is out still on whether the light of Trump's second term will endure, and Putin's benevolent dictatorship may not last long after his passing.
So sure Iran is a destabilising influence, in the region, but on the face of it so does the current Netanyahu regime. And while Iran has a net negative effect in the region, given the supreme control AIPAC exerts on the USA - I am starting to suspect the Netanyahu regime has a global destabilising influence.
As for your assertion that "MAGA means Iran can't have nuclear weapons" I think that's a long bow. By the same logic, then Israel, Pakistan, North Korea, India, France, UK, Russia and the USA can't have nuclear weapons.
I think the whole action is based on the fake narrative that "they're insane"
However, in conclusion, I will say that I am currently happier than I was with the status re Iran:Israel. I don't think anything is resolved. But as there has been no escalation so far, it is a good thing. I will be slightly more trusting of Trump's solutions going forward.
Thank you again for your thoughtful and well-written analysis. I am so grateful for this forum and for the great people like you who frequent it.
Thank you very much for your kind words, it truly meant a lot for me to hear it- and I'm sorry I'm late to respond as well but I just had to deal with life the past week.
I feel the same about critical thinking and questioning everything - I try to do the same and think everyone would be better off with that perspective particularly that we are in an information war. Such a perspective you won’t be let down by the truth. It's also a pet peeve of mine when people throw out the words anti-semite, racist, etc.. where it doesn't exist because it devalues the term where it does. Like why can't I talk about globalism where people say it's an anti-semitic dog whistle. It bothers me to no end, but it seems part of the enemy playbook to use this language to steer people into certain behaviors.
I don’t doubt that Israeli leadership is up to nefarious purposes like every sovereign in the west and absolutely I believe they have a globalist element. I believe that Jews have too many communists as well that I will never stand in solidarity with even if we share the same beliefs about Zionism, although I find it hard to believe as they hold no regard for the concept of sovereignty.
I don’t forget that Netanyahu was the first congratulate Biden after the 2020 election, they were first to force the vaccine unto their people, and most importantly about October 7th, after being there seven times and witnessing the security state that it is - it’s unfathomable to me that they would take 5-7 hours to respond to the terrorist attack. While I don’t believe (or I don’t want to believe) that they would have planned out this attack on their own people and was a false flag, at the very least they could have allowed the severity for the future optics, and based on their covid response it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Taking that to account, Israelis are as much the victims that are never even considered by the anti-zionist brigade, and I will not heed an argument from people that can only see ordinary Jews/Zionists as the boogeyman behind every atrocity.
I tend to be optimistic in the long term vision of where we are headed, which might be a little naive and radical compared to where we are at. The nuclear arsenal was developed based on the concept of mutually assured destruction. I don’t think of Iran fitting into that mold considering the tenants of Sharia Law, the level of disdain and fear they have for their own people (they had only around 17% support) and the culture of sacrificing their people for their own political gains. If peace through strength is upon us - then a subdued radical base allows the movement away from Guns and more towards Butter. We all know, which way the neocons and Israel is geared towards today, and perhaps out of necessity. The Abraham accords sets a different tone that is geared towards prosperity, and I believe that is a central tenant behind Trump’s vision for the world and not just the United States.
From there further steps to denuclearize the world can take place, which lucky enough the US/Russia has already provided the blueprint, and Iran attaining a nuclear arsenal could only hurt that vision.
Anyways, thanks again for your words, it really made my day to read your response and like you I feel a sense of relief to engage in an open dialogue such as this.
What a beautiful amazing world it could be if rational discourse returned to the west.
I feel like I lost my connection to my brother and sister after they willingly accepted the Mark of the Beast during Covid.
But then I came across GAW at the same time, and now every time I have an exchange on GAW like we had, I wonder if I haven't been blessed with new brothers and sisters all over the world.
I thought we were miles apart in our views, turns out I can hardly see daylight between our positions.
Where I come from the Māori have many traditional respectful ways of ending a message or saying farewell etc. One of my favourites is "Kia kaha", it translates to "Stay Strong".
It's going to be a bumpy ride but I have hope that we'll arrive to the right conclusion in the end with or without me. I had my doubts on this forum now and then, but this has been a breath of fresh air so thank you again. I'll pray for the health of your family and Kia kaha!
