"Coordinating with the Iranians".....but who in the Iranian government? The mullahs or governmental minions? Who would have the power within the Iranian government to order a withdrawal of all personel in those facilities? The mullahs would not show weakness, thus they would keep even the janitors in the facilities. Some sort of government official that might have the power to order the evacuations would have to answer to Khomeini, and probably not survive through the night. Something is off about this yet I cannot put my finger on who President Trump's people were talking with that has more power than the Ayotolla.
Don't forget about Russia. Maybe Putin is the intermediary to get Iran to cooperate w US and this 'destroy our own stuff' scenario disguised as an attack. I am pretty sure Trump would do anything, even this kind of major deception, to avoid another years-long slog through a war as is in Ukraine right now. Ukr didn't have to happen - our issue with Ukr today is...its much harder to clean tar off your hands than avoid getting tar on them in the first place.
