So Jesus is a liar and didn’t create the new covenant then heretic?
If you believe Jews are God’s chosen people then you are implying Jesus lied when we made the new covenant.
Are 1900 years worth of Christians wrong?
Romans 11:17 - And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; (11:18) Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
It’s likely not either/or, but some of each. Arguing about which branch bore more good fruit, and which bore more bad fruit isn’t particularly effective either.
We are up against both corruption, and organized corruption, so pointing out when someone could be part of the organized portion, or pointing out what appears to be corruption, both seem fair.
Stepping past that into condemning a whole tree and declaring yourself righteous is probably not the right response.
My suggestion may be wrong, but I’m pretty positive yours is too, and spending some time in meditation and prayer about it is never going to be a bad suggestion.
Always remember, humility is perhaps the most important character trait in Christianity.
