I had civics in 8th grade (1988) and learned about all that. Pretty sure my 7th grade teacher was hardcore libertarian too. He taught us every single law, helpful or not, each brought us one step closer to communism.
I hope they teach about how powerful our founding docs are in a lawful sense as well. The two most powerful things you can create to escape the government corporation matrix is a personal Declaration of Independence and a private trust. Comprehending the difference between private and public commerce is key as well.
The Declaration of Independence and Constitution should be required learning in all states. Students should know the difference between admiralty law and common law, between laws and regulations, and how our laws are organized so they can research them. Bring back civics.
Founding documents are pdf downloads and educators worth their salt know how to spark a great conversation.
Homeschooling for the win. Need us to show the schools how to teach history/civics/debate? Homeschoolers spend approximately $600 per student annually, and we don't need (or want) your grants.
If they are going to all this trouble though, they should throw in the Federalist Papers, too.
The opening statement of every class, Every day, should be 'The Bill of Rights are not rights given by the Gov., they are restrictions on Gov. of The Rights of The People not to be infringed'.
