I mean, modern ones, yes. I wish we could go back go using a dead virus samples, killed with heat, radiation or ethanol and suspended in saline, like they did when vaccines were first produced.... That's a real vaccine, and I'd be okay with it. But why the fuck do vaccines have mercury in them??! Why formaldehyde??! Why heavy metals like cadmium and lead??! Those are not needed to kill the virus or produce a normal and safe vaccine. Modern vaccines are full of poison. Old vaccines were the shit!
You are correct. The "real" vaccines you refer to were designed for a person's own immune response and not this current rubbish where the bodies response is already written into "therapy"
However MRNA is still a valid therapy for cancer treatment. But these cancer treatments are all individualized. So how do they go from an individualized MRNA therapy (even for the same type of cancer in someone else) to a MRNA "vaccine" for everyone. The MRNA technology was simply not designed to do this.
MRNA wasn't by definition a vaccine until 2020 when Webster, all of the other major dictionary publishers, search engines, etc... all decided to change the definition of what a vaccine is. That was Orwell level shit.

My two cents, I guess
