Paregoric also back in the 60's when I was a kid my mom would get it for certain ailments. I believe it contained opium. It was over the counter.
Still can in TN. "Exempt narcotic". Just have to sign for it. Can't recall max ml/month restriction at the moment. Usually pharmacist's professional judgement. Generic Robitussin AC.
