To address this issue, consider replacing school Chromebooks with traditional paper-based learning. Emphasize teaching students to write by hand, including cursive, to foster essential skills and improve engagement.
Cursive writing is so important for brain development. It allows us to absorb the information as we write it. I can personally attest to how that works. I went to nursing school a bit later in life than most, and there is so much to absorb in so little time. I started writing my own "powerpoint" type of notes because just reading and re-reading the info didn't work for me. I would outline chapters and the outlines were quite long. If I was having trouble understanding a concept, I'd write it once or twice more. My grades were decent to begin with, but using cursive writing to study bumped them up to an exceptional level. A few of my classmates adapted the method, and their grades, and comprehension also increased. If your schools don't teach cursive, and most don't, teach your children yourself. It's a valuable skill.
That’s a great idea, getting public schools to do that is the problem. They took out the curriculum that taught cursive writing to make more time to teach to the TAAS/TAKS/STAAR test. Worst move ever. Kids took forever to take notes because they were printing instead of using cursive.
luckily they can just read the text out of their school text books, or pull their phone out of their pocket and read it, or have it read to them, in any language. They can also change the font. Don't be really sad.
What’s really sad is that most of the younger generation cannot read this document because they cannot read or write in cursive.
100 years ago kids could read or write in Latin.
Its been a long slide, into stupidity.
In a word: "PURPOSEFULLY"!!!!!!!!

The STAAR test should be eliminated, and schools should focus on teaching students essential, relevant skills and knowledge.
like cursive and latin

Dear King George/Charles/Sausage Fingers I,
Lick our left one.

You gotta admit, old Jefferson had a way with words.
