That lie is: "Trump made a campaign promise to release the Epstein Files."
I am mostly staying out of this Epstein BS, since nothing productive will get done arguing about it while tempers are high and minds clouded, but someone on X brought up a good observation that punches through a lie that has been repeated by the bots and trolls:
While we have a ton of bots and trolls yelling at Trump for breaking one of his most significant campaign promises with regards to the Epstein files, people with good memory would recall that Trump never actually promised such a thing during the rallies (a quick check with ChatGPT and Grok affirmed the fact that Trump never made a campaign promise at a rally to release the Epstein Files).
A quick look at the Agenda 47 documentation, which is the official written agenda, mission objectives, and campaign promises of Donald Trump's second term also confirms that Trump never made such a promise to release the Epstein Files.

I saw those statements, those are not a strong "I vow" or "I promise" statements. It is more of a "I would" statement, and would is defined as "Aux. Verb used to express desire, intent, or a wish".
My point that Trump never actually promised to release the files stands.
