Military solutions were never going to counter soft power grabs by China. For example China uses soft power moves with regards to Taiwan. They know within a generation or two they will have Taiwain under their control without having to fire a single missile or bullet.

Trump has always seen the CCP for what it was. He is brilliant in how he has been backing the CCP into a corner and forcing them to capitulate.
All their neighbors know this fact as well. They all saw what was Tibet disappear.
Trump is gaining leverage by not using leverage, rather just helping them while helping America. Win - Win.
I would argue that the biggest failure of alternative media during the first DJT term was not being able to appreciate or understand the deft foreign policy at play, especially when it came to international trade.
The problem is that most well-meaning, patriotic people have no understanding of international trade and the impact of trade policy.
In my five decades of life, never have I had a president that so expertly leveraged the economic engine of the United States in such an effective manner for both the benefit of the American people AND diplomacy that is not at the end of a gun barrel. Threads like this are so important in educating people on how effective President Trump is in this arena and how he's working on behalf of Americans.
