According to one law firm in CA, it seems that it pauses the clock on the statute of limitations & is something that many feel isn't right. Seems this law firm has argued that a sealed status was made just to pause a clock so their defendant would still be subject to punishment from the law that was broken.
Sealed indictments also have a complex relationship with the statute of limitations. They often pause the clock while sealed. In rare cases, we may argue that sealing an indictment was done just to extend the statute of limitations.
So.... the probably thousands of laws H allegedly broke that we've been worried about timing out are still on the table with her due to this pause. And all of the BHO crowd (Rice, Power, Jake Sullivan, the Iranian woman advisor, Neera Tanden, BHO, Huma, Holder, etc. and maybe Weismann). And Wasserman Schultz.

u/thekingofracine was saying most states have overturned it (the clock pause).
I am not a lawyer, and haven't dived into this deeply to figure it iur on my own yet.
There is no statue of limitations for treason.
Yup, California has yet to overturn that. Most states already have. It is rare that a sealed indictment stops the clock.
Notice all that, OFTEN, RARE, MAYBE terminology? That means it's not a fact.
