Refusal of responsibility. People will get upset about vaccine requirements and think nothing of their kid being forced to sit in a chair for 6hrs a day being brainwashed. If you have a kid, YOU'RE responsible for their education. Teach kids to learn and they'll educate themselves.
Homeschooling is a LOT EASIER SAID THAN DONE! My wife tried with our children (4) and gave up in less than a year. Some people are probably more geared to do it.
The older kids (and their parents) in my circle have described the home school programs as approx 3 hours of computer-given lessons per day and then they are pretty much done. They sometimes have approx 60 minutes of homework to complete but that consists of things that can be researched online. I can see that elementary kids might be more labor in by a paretensivent (encouragement, examples, etc). There are quarterly tests which are required to be 'in person' participation at local testing stations and tests are given by a proctor to ensure identities are correct, time limits for the test are respected, and all i s on the up and up.
My wife tried it with the two oldest in grade school, and the two youngest not yet old enough for school (all are 2 years apart). Between minding the younger ones and dealing with the school activities of the older ones just got too much for her. She could probably handle it now :)
When you place kids in public school, you are giving them authority over them. Then you have to re-educate them when they are home. They learn things you don't want them to learn and fill their heads with nonsense. If they are a little too active, they want them on Ritalin so easier controlled. Teaching them all that lgbtq garbage, and confusing their vulnerable minds. It's a tragedy waiting to happen. Good Christian school or homeschooling is the only way to go. It's easier than you might think, and you will have well educated children in the proper subjects. You want your kids to read well and comprehend, teach them yourself. You want your kids to be able to write cursive, count money, do simple math in their heads, speak the English language properly, teach them yourself. You want your kids to have good morals and healthy lifestyles, teach them by your example. Public schools are mostly bad news.
Maybe just don't send your kids to public school? Just give up on the schools, opt out, stop playing their games.
