The Media was given a free pass to lie and stir up drama in the name of the Free Press. The New York Times versus Sullivan. 1964.
So It’s on the victim to prove the media lied with ‘Actual Malice’ and knew they were pedaling lies. Technically it only covers lying about public officials. But it’s widely considered to be blanket coverage in allowing them to lie about and for celebrities, and other wealthy and famous people. Let alone the general public
Which is part of why people very rarely actually sue Media outlets. Despite the inane amount of bullshit, half truths, and outright lies they pedal. Because the deck is stacked in the media’s favor. Most people, even the extremely wealthy, don’t have the wealth to tie up in the Multi-year legal slug fest. For a case that’s stacked against them to start with.
It also serves the side effect of lending credence to various Conspiracy theories. As the logic is “If this is a lie. Why don’t they sue?”
Because it’s not the easy. And the letter of the law and legal precedent is on the side of the liars.
They are not the only ones you see it everywhere. MSN and even our local news here in Canada are constantly trying to make Trump look like a bumbling idiot.
Image isn't displaying for me. Happens sometimes on GAW (for me anyway). But I probably don't even need to see it. Agree 100% that Yahoo is smear/propaganda/fluff. Mostly celebrity garbage and entirely anti-Trump. I still visit it at least once a day just to see what any dingbat normies might be consuming. Most of the left-leaning articles are starting to get a LOT of based commentors which is nice to see. Lots of sheep waking up based on the comments, and even calling out Yahoo for their ridiculous slants.
Yahoo! is so irrelevant that I forgot it still exists. I don't know how they're still in business because no one under 40 uses it.

YAHOO is good for a few things... like on-line chess or on-line scrabble.
Other than that, don't use that propaganda tool as a news source or a search engine. BRAVE is much better.
it's just that most people 40 and above still use Yahoo as their homepage.

Such a liberal talk piece. Bought and paid for. Can't believe anyone reads their shit anymore
