From Revelation 17:

The "beast" = the geopolitical powers / global Roman empire (think back to Daniel and the statue from Nebuchadnezzer's dream)

The "woman" who rides it = the Roman Catholic church,

• arrayed in purple 🟣 (Bishops)
• and scarlet 🔴 (Cardinals),
• decked with gold and precious stones 👑💎🪩
• and having a golden cup in her hand 🏆
• sitting on seven hills, ⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️

etc.

To ride = to control or steer, to influence the direction of. Remember all our elected officials taking their dutiful trip to meet with the pope?

The "anti-christ" = the pope. 'Anti-' means IN THE PLACE OF as well as AGAINST. Every new pope is the next anti-christ, or the next man "in the place of Christ", or the next "man of sin" from Paul's letters, who was "being restrained" by the restrainer aka the Roman Caesar, who had to be "taken out of the way" before anything like the Papacy could arise in Caesar's place. Remember, the pope's title is "Vicar of Christ". Compare that with the anti- prefix:

Now with these terms defined,

the "beast system" = the geopolitical powers all networked together and under a central control point, likely headquartered in the snake building in Vatican City, or perhaps, (God-forbid!) the pope will finally get his centuries-long desire and move his throne to Jerusalem. "All roads lead to Rome" regardless of Rome's current, physical location, appearance, or temporal power level. This beast system has been in place since the Dark Ages. It just evolves as time goes on. The course of global events has been steered from Rome and most people didn't have a clue.

People wonder why I'm so harsh on the Catholic church. It all stems from understanding Daniel & Revelation properly, as all the early Reformers did. Click the 'Jesuit-inspired' link above to read some of their quotes. Daniel's little horn also = the pope.

I love all my Catholic frens and foes and God does too, which is why He said:

4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. 7How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Notice God calls them HIS PEOPLE, so, contrary to many who Protest the whore of Babylon, there are in fact genuine believers in Christ trapped in the Catholic church. We need to pray for their eyes to be opened to these hard truths, and spread this word.
