Bye-bye Penske. You’ve crossed a forbidden line. You sided with illegal aliens against Americans. You will now go out of business as you should. A new company called American Truck Rentals will take your place. They will gladly rent trucks to the Patriotic ICE who are putting their lives on the line to make America safe again.

This is a liability issue. Those trucks aren't made to haul people. If they knowingly rent it to anybody who transports people in them and one of them died or gets injured, they are liable in a lawsuit. The key word is knowingly and they know what ICE is using them for.
Insurance is a bitch.
Though. You’d think ICE and DHS would be using some of the Government owned fleet of Non-descript Vehicles so that they wouldn’t be renting Box Trucks from Private Companies.
Between the Feds and borrowing from the State. I’d be hard pressed to believe they couldn’t come up with a fleet of Box Trucks.
That’s not even considering the Impounded and Seized Vehicles Federal Agencies auction off of every year.

This is the first time Im hearing of this tactic though so perhaps they just thought of it in this situation and the easiest and cheapest thing to do was rent the truck.
Did they rent the truck...or did they paint the truck to make it look like a Penske truck?

Penske doesnt allow renters to carry passengers in the back, simple as that. Just because ICE is doing a good thing by busting illegals does not make Penske bad guys for saying they dont want the liabilty involved with transporting people in the cargo area of their trucks.

I'm gonna side with Penske on this one simply because the company should be able to prevent the government from causing negative PR to their brand by using their products with their brand printed all over it. I'm all for ICE and the work they are doing to eliminate illegal immigration, but I do also see how this is causing a lot of problems for Penske as customers may view them in a negative light on either side of this situation.
