Short of "Death penalty for parking tickets", this is the most insane, inappropriately harsh sentence for a "crime" I can think of.
They wanted war in Syria because they claimed Assad “gassed” his own citizens.
This is the same type of harm.
The crime should be misgendering self, and the penalty should be 25 years in the insane asylum.
