Yes!! Fantastic!! Can't send them to prison, but lock them up in "reform school". Get them off the streets. Teach them some life skills and turn them into responsible people, to the greatest extent possible.
I am coming to think that every crime of assault should be deemed an "adult crime" and treated accordingly. Every assault contains the potential for homicide. Arson should be included. Dropping heavy objects from overpasses on traffic, also. When someone chooses to take an action that could take a life, they have left childhood behind.
Kind of a false argument. Pirro is arguing against the blindness that absolves "children" from the requirements of a peaceful society. Nobody is arguing for a "blind" application, but if the kid kills someone or does something that has that potential, then the charge is homicide or attempted homicide or negligent manslaughter. Youth is no excuse for savagery or wanton carelessness.
I am very skeptical of "good kids" making a "mistake," and their sentences turning them into criminals. We choose ourselves.

Realistically, mostly agree. Too many cases where animosity can take a fairly benign case and twist it against a kid.
There's a lot of good kids that made a mistake and went in to a non-sympathetic juvenile court and came out a criminal.
Tough on crime, and obvious offenders, oh yeah. Blind, across the board application, no.
