Dandelions used to be plentiful in my neighborhood, and especially on my lawn. Several years ago, most of my neighbors began paying for "lawncare", which involves a team of about eight guys (illegals), with gas powered leaf blowers, huge stand on lawnmowers, and other very noisy equipment. Nearly every day of the week someone's lawn was being tended. We couldn't even be outside due to the noise, dust and pollen. We never used any of those services (our lawns are pretty small), and we would still have Dandelions, but I noticed this year not one single Dandelion. The chemical weed spray has killed them off. Upside; most of the illegals have left, and instead of the noise and spraying constantly, only a few neighbors now have lawn care. Maybe our Dandelions will return. I hope so.
I'm in NJ, and even though we don't use week killer, most of my neighbors do. Our houses and yards are very close to each other, so whether I want it or not, my lawn gets chemically altered.
I was going to say, you must be in NJ. Every day there are 100 hp blowers going on for hours. I actually use a lawn service, but I have them come every 15 days and I tell them they don't have to use their blowers, just leave everything and I'll sweep it up like we always did
You're very considerate. My neighbors have the loudest, biggest crews imaginable. The huge lawn mowers and the gas powered leaf blowers are the worst. Most of them were here on a weekly basis, which is ridiculous because our lawn are very small. With so many of the illegals gone though, there are only one or two who still have lawn service, and the noise level is way down.

Not a single dandy in me lawn
Where are you? I used to have dandelion in WA and OR, but here in the south, nothing.

Oh, I am sorry.
