If it wasn't stolen using imminent domain, and legally purchased, typically people get less upset. Its a REALLY shitty thing some governments abuse. Taking peoples property to sell at a discount to some politically connected developer.
The "open house" they had was similar to a school open house. Tables placed everywhere with people at each table to answer questions. Problem was, there were so many concerned citizens that it was too noisy to hear questions being asked and answered. It was all BS to try and placate the people but they were even more mad because of the way that whole thing was set up. They realize it was just a dog and pony show. Glad to see this has been scrapped, son and family live in St Charles county.
Our whole area sold out solar. These things are disgusting to look at. Looks like Trump put a stop to funding yesterday so all these land grabs might be put on hold.
There are already water contamination issues is St. Charles, they don't need another possible issue with a data center that will require more water and use more electricity.
there is a 6300 acre ranch in the Texas Panhandle affiliated with Texas Tech University data center that Fermi America is building
Not enough uproar to stop them?

Why are we watching a random Piper Aerostar? Is it relevant to the story?
Great. I sure hope so.

If they're worried about cooling, they should build in North Dakota, or Alaska.
I don't know anything about it, but sounds like the neighbors are all up in arms.
