If the alleged acts caught on camera are so depraved that they cannot ever be released to the public, then the value of the compromat is effectively zero.
I upvoted, but the comment is like saying nobody could ever be convicted of having or selling porn, as long as what's caught on camera is so depraved it can't ever be released to the public. The evidence would be inadmissible, so no jury would convict.
Of course all hard porn is not for release to the public.
I don't know how courts get around this, but people do get convicted for trafficking in heinous shocking ultra hardcore child porn all the time.
There is a system tightly ontrolled with people who are aurthorized to view for evidence purposes. I lasted less than 2 months on that assignmnt. I was going to quit my job to escape it. They didnt fire me but i put my foot down. Im not made for that shit my heart was broken amd all i wanted to do was take someones head off.
Yes I agree- but I'm not sure I completely get it as a means to coerce the target. I believe these are the kind of people who would do evil things regardless of some Sword of Damocles hanging over them. Plus the full public disclosure aspect of those at the top who have done the very worst... the SRA stuff... I really hope it happens but not sure how it will play out in reality.
