It's fun to hear about the mayor having to make admissions as to the incredible success that is the NG in DC. It's got to hurt her to say it. The videos that I've seen made by residents of that area recently saying how things have gotten so much better and safer... The stories I've heard about the fact that you couldn't stop your car at red lights in certain places for fear of being car jacked, robbed, murdered or all of the above.. I would love to see this done in cities across the country. But it's my understanding that it's much harder to arrange that in cities that inside of states... πππΊπ²
While I am not in favor of putting the military in cities to be law enforcement. The local politicians will not do their job and prosecute and stop crime. It seems they encourage. So in that case, the Federal Gov't has to step in. It is not the first time a President has had to step in to stop Democrats. President John F. Kennedy issued Executive Order 11111, which federalized the Alabama National Guard, and Guard General Henry V. Graham then commanded Wallace to step aside. Wallace spoke further, but eventually moved, and Malone and Hood completed their registration
