When I worked for law enforcement majority of them didn't understand we can look up them on social media, wiretaps, pen trace and triangulation of location based on cell phone towers. That was 15 years ago.
Exactly, we can get location within 5 feet which is close enough to drop a minor payload, kill only you and another gang member wirh minimal collateral damage.
We didn't kill anyone. We have courts here in the US where innocent till proven guilty and evidence was used to convict cartel members, murderers, etc.

I'm willing to bet that 90% or more of them don't even know that their cell phone can be used as a tracking device.
