It seems he believes everyone is responsible for restraining themselves and the exercise of their rights so as not to trigger maladjusted, mentally-ill, criminal or overly-sensitive persons' illegal/unhinged actions.
Going by his "logic", we should blame rape victims for rapists' actions, robbery victims for robbers' actions and arson victims for arsonists' actions because they may do, say or possess something that somehow (even if unbeknownst to the victim or the offender) triggers their offenders.
"My rights don't end where your feelings begin."
Perhaps his energy would be better-utilzed by calling for better mental health care and treatment facilities for persons so ill-affected by others' everyday lives, actions and possessions that they feel the need to commit crimes upon them.
That sounds awfully like gaslighting and victim blaming to me.
