He was declared dead around 4:30 pm. 24 hours later, his body has apparently gone through forensic examination, had photographs taken, embalmed and placed in a casket..
A criminal forensic medical examination usually takes a number of days. I don't know much about this but I'm sure they have to dissect layers, look for pieces of shrapnel, examine angles he was shot at,
Would they have these experts for a high profile forensic examination available in Utah at 5 pm?
After the examination his body would have to reconstructed, which would require a bit of work due to the bullet damage and then the examination which would involve a lot of cutting up.
Can we be confident he got the thorough examination such an assassination deserved or the investigation results they wanted?
I hear you but an autopsy is just for cause of death. When you have the bullet, which you can now match to the murder weapon, and it hit the carotid artery, there's not much else to look at. No need for a toxicology report. No need to see what else could have killed him. I don't see anything odd here.
Yeah people focusing on stuff that's not very relevant, it was obvious what killed him after all. Meanwhile I don't see talk about all these GunTubers and over proclaimed experts on X trying to push the narrative that it was not a professional hit by obsessing over "200 yards is not a difficult shot" when the key points are how the guy got in AND out so easily, had patsies in the crowd to distract the cops, the rifle so conveniently ditched in the woods (which I doubt was the actual murder weapon) and I bet this third suspect is yet another patsy as well. These people are pushing the lone wolf narrative like they were handed a script yesterday.
Just a pattern that I quickly noticed yesterday when I scrolled past the 4th guy making the same "stop calling it a professional hit" claim. Maybe I'll compile something but I've been busy as it is last couple days and probably will be all weekend as well.
But, what if he died from Covid?!?! /s
It would be important to analyze with certainty the direction the bullet came from. Look how much conspiracy and doubt there is in regards to the official JFK reports to today.
I'm certain it would take a very very long time with the best forensic experts to determine if the weapon found in the woods was indeed the weapon that was used.
I can't believe so many people here are just trusting the system, trusting the reports.
The forensics of this case would not hold up the medical examination. This was not looking for a needle in a haystack. The ME is only looking for cause of death and in Charlie's case, I am sure it was pretty clear. What usually takes the time at the ME is the backlog which sometimes could take a couple of days. This case would have been expedited and it probably was a team and not just a single ME possibly with an assistant. It would not take long to assess a projectiles trajectory in a body. Tissue samples around the entry wound also would not take long. I am sure there was no need to take other organ tissue samples unless somehow the projectile moved somewhere else in his head since there didn't appear to be an exit wound from what I saw and heard. We will have to wait an see the extent of the damage if that report is ever released.
The forensics are the job of others and will most likely be done by the FEDs. I would think that his shirt, or other clothing, would have been taken as evidence which can also be more thoroughly examined later by the FBI labs which will be looking at all the other evidence collected in this case. So no, it did not seem rushed to me given the circumstances and high profile status.
Agreed. There really doesn't seem to be much to investigate in this case as far as the ME is concerned. There didn't appear to be an exit wound, therefore the projectile could be retrieved and the trajectory tracked. He was hit apparently in his carotid. It would be like a carotid aneurism. Almost instant death. A person bleeds out before they can be treated. We will have to wait and see if the projectile hit other vital structures in his head and neck.
Good question...things that make you go hmmmmmm
This case would have been expedited. It was probably an all nighter for those involved. The fact that he was brought home on Air Force Two shows the weight of government involvement and action with Charlie's murder. This needed to be moved along given the amount of public awareness and everything that has come with it. This was the best thing for the family and the public.
