I have been expecting to see the 3-D trajectory models, sound analysis, multiple camera/video angles synthesized, etc.
So far, it seems like a lot of unfounded theories and amateur analyses thus far.
Don't get me wrong... I value the brainstorming and theorizing, but I've been expecting more official and thorough analyses from the internet sleuths and experts.

People are busy doing stuff that actually has consequences for the left this time. Also maybe those people got fed up after having their analysis of Butler being ignored anyway.
That would be a shame. But in all truth, we've all been left in the cold on Butler. My hope is that the truth will be revealed strategically.
Many older people on the right were not that familiar with him.
I have heard of him and was aware of his work,but that is it.
He was a good man,but not in the class of a very loved president who we have been hearing and seeing for 50+ years.

But given the attention this tragedy is receiving, and the confusion, I can't help but think that there would be some motivated people who'd want to find the truth.
They are focused on shaming the commies,that cheer on his death.

Yeah for digital soldiers it was much more urgent of a task to catch the ghouls in the act before they started trying to delete their posts and cover their tracks.
I'm thinking back to what BurningBright had said in regards to the obsessive Butler analysis back then, to paraphrase "we don't need thousands of people trying to be first to determine if the shot maybe came from a water tower instead and exactly how tall the tower is. Get off the beach, focus on getting past the fortifications and continuing the mission." (For context he had done an episode discussing "Saving Private Ryan" the night before and was using the Normandy invasion sequence as a metaphor.)

People are still very tender and I don't think the climate is good for that right now.
There were some pretty good arm-chair experts analyzing the Butler attempt.
That said I'd rather see the FBI in-depth analysis of both events. It is possible there were not enough camera footage of Charlie's murder for analysis, but that seem unlikely with everyone having a camera phone. I also want to know why there was no security response to people seeing the guy on the roof. After what happened at Butler that should have set off all kinds of security response in Utah.
