No, I think the consistency and symmetry of the top and bottom line of the hypothetical plate is an anomaly.
If there's not an armor plate involved then that must be an exit wound. Amidst all the disagreement, I haven't seen a single professional who knows what they're talking about even attempt to explain away the lack of an exit wound from a 30-06. Edit: someone from Charlie Kirks team released a statement from the doctor saying his neck alone stopped the 30-06 and that it was "just beneath the skin."
We're all going to find out the truth on the ballistics soon.
I'm reserving judgment until then.
Again, I love that people like you are remaining skeptical of everything, as am I.
I can't understand how a plate jumps upward if it is also supposedly deflecting a projectile (or part of one) upward.
Newton says there is an equal and opposite reaction -- therefore any plate should have been pushed downwards, in reaction to deflecting the bullet upwards.
The only explanation of that (for me) is if he was shot from below, first grazing a plate (lifting it) and then entering the neck. (But there is no commensurate tear on the shirt.)

Now, is the whole point of this argument around somehow proving or disproving that there was a second shooter?
If there was no exit wound, they have the evidence, and we may have it at some point.
Hey AE I gave you a +1 but honestly I don't feel like discussing this topic any more because of all the division it's causing.
I don't know shit. I'm guessing just like everyone else. I don't think I've ever dug into a topic polluted with so much garbage disinformation.
If I was the enemy, I would be giddy with glee at all the in-fighting here.
Supposedly(?) his wife just disclosed he was NOT wearing body armor.
That's a big fucking deal as it relates to the ballistics.
I'm hanging up my hat on this topic for a while because I have nothing meaningful to offer and my purely speculative opinion is just as worthless as the next.
thats not a plate or anything. Its his shirt folding from the extreme movements.
thats not proof of anything. You think the edge of the plate is JUMPING up and down 6 inches?!?!? thats nuts.

Fellow skeptic here.

But some sort of device 'in front of and below' Charlie would explain why the area seems to have been 'worked on' shortly after the assassination. (https://rumble.com/v6yzu5q-construction-work-underway-where-charlie-kirk-was-assassinated.html) Unless, of course, that is from previous work being done - with a new voice-over.
Also, the 'roughly horizontal' folds/lines in the shirt are interesting, but they change shape from frame to frame.
Lastly, there are some pics that show his t-shirt substantially 'depressed' (concave) between his chest muscles -- right where a plate would be.
Edit: Completely agree with the lack of any explanation of the lack of a 30-06 exit wound.

Agreed, and pretty much said the same two points (speculation + ctfd everybody!) earlier.
That and me actually stopping talking are two different things but 100% in principle, yet the βtism must flow!
Will see which happens.
