Capitalizing "ANTIFA" like a proper noun or formal organization is a deliberate propaganda tactic.
It attempts to lend a false sense of legitimacy, structure, and coherence to what is essentially a loose network of far-left agitators and domestic terrorists. By stylizing it in all caps or treating it as an acronym, their supporters seek to portray it as a cohesive movement with defined goals, rather than the chaotic, violent, and hypocritical mob that it actually is. This rhetorical trick is meant to obscure the truth: that antifa represents lawlessness, intimidation, and ideological intolerance, not justice or progress.
We shouldn't fall for this manipulative framing.
Denying them the dignity of capitalization is a small but meaningful way to strip away the false respectability they crave. Referring to them consistently in lowercase, "antifa", accurately reflects their disorganized, and destructive nature. It reminds people that they are not a noble cause or recognized entity, but a symptom of societal decay and misguided radicalism.
Reclaiming the narrative by deliberately using lowercase "antifa" except where grammar requires capitalization (like at the start of a sentence), denies them the legitimacy they seek and reinforces the truth: they are fringe actors, not heroes.
Control the language. Help shape public perception. Make it clear these agitators do not deserve recognition, capital letters, or a place in civil discourse.
Better yet call them Pantifa.
I like antifucks.
Thus why I never capitalize satan. I do tend to agree with dumbass101's comment though.
Only term I'm using: Trannytifa
antifags almost sounds too nice doesn't it?
'antifa' could be describing just an idea while 'Antifa' is a specific thing.
I live in a white house. POTUS lives in the White House.
Or, "Tifatards!" 🤠
They say antifa means antifacist. They don't call it ANTIFAcist. I don't think this will have the effect you desire
They are shitting bricks right now. Formally declared a terrorist organization! Relegated to online agitation no doubt.
Maybe not. Calling them out may have actually "legitimized" and embolded them.
"Antifa" et al is, apparently, a very complicated, diverse body of non-hierarchical violent marxist terror cell groups seeking the overthrow of capitalism and the government that AREN'T primarily funded by big money and as such, the new anti-terrorism EO may have literally missed the mark and may not be as effective as hoped:

Call them black shirted thugs.
"Symbolism", in a way.

True sentiment, but now we do want to legitimize them.
The recent declaration needs all the help it can get.
The more they try to legitimize their group the more they fit into the definition of a "Terrorist Organization."
Let the enemy shoot themselves in the face etc.....
Public Perception
Antifa is 'antifascist'
Everyone and everything that disagrees with far left is fascist
Entire Trump admin, MAGA and MAHA are fascist, as was Charlie Kirk
But there is no Anticommie movement on the right; instead it's all just fascists vs. the good people, i.e., non-fascists
So therefore there ARE no commies, just good people who are against the fascists - after all, Hitler was bad, Trump is Hitler, so it's OK to kill him and all those who support him (hundreds of millions of people are fair game for political murder, just in the US alone)
Repetition is the mother of memory - they just kept hammering this terminology until it was accepted as fact by the public; now you have decent moral humans being assassinated and 100,000 people feel totally justified in publicly celebrating, as if Hitler himself had been killed
