Then maybe it is time to make sure we offer our prayers and support to the Church of the Latter-day Saints. I'm sure there is a ward near me, I can call and ask what I can do.
Yes, Mormons believe that Jesus and Satan are considered "brothers" in the sense that both are spirit children of God, sharing the same spiritual parentage. However, they view Jesus as the divine Son of God and Satan as a fallen angel who chose to rebel against God."
They are not "spirit brothers". Satan was created, not a fallen angel, but a cherubim.
Ezekiel 28:14 KJV
[14] Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. "
His pride was his sin.
Jesus was not created. He is the eternal God, manifest in the flesh whilst on earth.
Fully God and fully man.
The Triune God was, is and forever shall be. Not created, but I Am.
Funny though, here's a verse from the Book of Mormon on this trinitarian topic. Sound familiar?
"And now Abinadi said unto them: I would that ye should understand that God himself shall come down among the children of men, and shall redeem his people. And because he dwelleth in flesh he shall be called the Son of God, and having subjected the flesh to the will of the Father, being the Father and the Son—The Father, because he was conceived by the power of God; and the Son, because of the flesh; thus becoming the Father and Son—And they are one God, yea, the very Eternal Father of heaven and of earth."
Yeah. See the extra context there? You don't have to believe it, but just tossing out that Mormons think Jesus and Satan are brothers clearly doesn't capture the premortal nature of that claim, wherein ALL of God's children are brothers and sisters. It's clearly different from trinitarian doctrinal understanding, but it's beyond dirty and disingenuous to just say "they think Jesus and Satan are brothers" without that context.
It's like when people say "Mormons think Christ was in America." Implying they don't think he was in Jerusalem, where the Bible stories took place, when they clearly don't think that. It's just childish bullshit.
It's weird that I always feel the need to defend a church I no longer belong to or believe in, but it just bugs me when Christians act like Mormon beliefs are weird or hard to believe, like theirs are so much more rational or believable. Sorry, they're just not.
Here in NY and CT :
almost EVERY synagogue is guarded by police.
🙄
I had just said to my wife. "They'll blame it on Evangelicals." 🤪😎
Well that's what it looks like. A Christian who didn't think Mormons were Christian enough.
Go figure.

Now THAT is a Christian attitude. Appreciate you.
Thanks. I may need a note.
A note?
On file. For St. Peter. Documentation, you know. Just in case.
Haha. Well if the Mormons are right I'm more screwed than you. Apostate status and all.
Right or wrong isn't for me to judge.
Whether I act unpleasantly is let's see how I do.
The LDS believe Jesus and Christ are brothers. Blasphenous.
They only have Christ in their name. Do your research!
I was Mormon for 26 years. I've done my research. I don't think you even know what you just said.

Its what I believe, God from God, true light from true light, begotten, not made, of One Being with the Father.
Beautiful
