MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. — An armed man may be responsible for three separate incidents in Medical Lake last night, including a deadly shooting at Eastern State Hospital.

Just after midnight on September 27, firefighters responded to a brush fire in the 200 block of E. SR 902. A man there was making wild statements about aliens, according to a caller, but left the area before police arrived.

Around 1:40 a.m., a caller reported a man with a rifle had entered a Medical Lake home and fired several shots. The people in the house hid for their safety.
