For example, Chuck Schumer is busy blowing up the annual budget bill by demanding $1.5 trillion to pay for healthcare for illegally present foreign citizens. He knows it's a non-starter. The provocation is made. It'll get the desired reaction (a middle finger from Republicans), and he'll go back to his constituents and tell them the Republicans refuse to govern under a budget and have to be stopped immediately in the Midterms.
This is how these people operate. Israel will blow up the deal, provoke some moron jihadi kid to attack, and then roll the IDF right back in.

Why would they, Isreal has been killing the Palestinians and taking their land since 1948, why would they stop now?
