Looked out my window this morning and saw no gringos...no invasion yet. I've lived on Margarita Island since 1981 (Estado Nueva Esparta) as an ex-pat from California. If any action takes place it will be drone attacks on the drug labs located near the border with Colombia.

The US is NOT going to invade them. Trump will never commit boots on the ground to that because any troops die the Dems will see that as their rally cry and the dumbest voting block the fence sitters will fall on the Dems side. It would be a disaster for Trump to invade. He can however stand off and destroy their drug labs and logistics and probably create a massive revolt from within.
The invasion I suppose will be against the cartels. I do not see Trump sending in the Marines on a land invasion. It does NOT fit the plan in my view.
