Not too long ago I read an article that it was found about 400 miles off course and sitting on the bottom of the ocean. They thought the navigator forgot to adjust for the moving across the dateline and that changed how he read his maps and position.
How would she even get credit for a solo flight, if she had a navigator on board? Hmm...

yeah me too, I think they reported finding it last winter or late winter. It was a small article in the NY TImes, with photo, if I recall. Thats why I was surprised to see him mention that.
