It sounds as if someone connected to the Catholic Church hurt you. I guess I’ve been blessed to be surrounded by amazing priests and religious and I belong to a phenomenal parish. And for that I am eternally grateful. I’m truly sorry you may not have had a similar experience. Please know I will pray for you to let go of the bitterness you have towards the Church. God bless❤️
First of all I taught Catechism classes also. After being away and really understanding the Bible and reading it the Catholic church does not teach it to its true meaning. I can't tell you in 48 years that no one has ever picked up a Bible and read it while being in the Catholic Church they only take Snippets. When was the last time a church talked about the devil or hell?
I also paid close attention when I was older and the people in the Catholic Church are not praising God they're praising the priest the Pope the statues that are in the church. They are worshiping the Catholic church and not Christianity. I have been in several Catholic churches my sister taught in the Catholic Church. I had a very wide exposure to the Catholic church.
I did come to realize that we had a priest as a close family friend who was from Poland they came to this country. What I saw the hierarchy and the Catholic Church do was enough for me.
It wasn't till I found a standalone bible-based church that I realize how bad the Catholic Church truly is.
There is nothing anywhere that proves the Catholic church was the first and only church that's only taught to the Catholics.
You draw a lot of conclusions G. Don’t paint everything and everyone with the same brush. So you hate the Catholic Church. You left her. What do you gain by spewing your disdain and hatred for the rest of us who stay because we love the Sacraments and Tradition? If you’re happy with the church you found, more power to you. When I first went to the Bible Church and found that 95% there were ex Catholics. Each and every one of them had the same story. They believed they were going to hell because they weren't going every Sunday to a Catholic a Mass. They said it took months for them to realize they were guilted into this mindset.

And you just proved that Protestantism is just a watered down Christianity. You can have one little emotional experience and that’s it. No accountability at all. Don’t need to go to church nothing. Jesus left us a church not the Bible. The Bible wasn’t even canonized until the late 300’s.
You should feel guilty about not going to church on Sunday’s unless you are sick, your car broke down etc. the room temperature Christianity is why we are such a shit show now and Islam is gaining ground.
The Protestant revolt did more damage to western civilization than any event in history. You can trace all the cultural and moral problems in our society LGBTQ everywhere, feminism etc. back to the reformation. It opened the flood gates of heresy and degeneracy. It also destroyed a general unity in most of Europe.
Martin Luther and King Henry attacked the sacrament of marriage and now we have rampant divorce and gay marriage. Hell most Lutheran churches don’t even believe what Luther thought anymore.
Many Protestants don’t even do communion or even joke saying you can do communion with coke and beef jerky.
And since you Prots can’t agree on anything or have any authority most of you are a complete disaster now with openly woke churches and evangelicals worshipping Israel. But that is the end result of Sola Scriptura that can’t be proved by scripture.
I was a Protestant tried to get back into it when I came back to God but Protestantism is at best just cheap Christianity for the places that aren’t totally woke. My faith has been WAY stronger since I started exploring Catholicism and go to a conservative Parish. And young people are realizing this and coming to Catholicism and Orthodoxy in droves cause we want the sacraments. We like the accountability by going to confession. We’re done with fake and gay Protestantism or Pastor Bob’s Ted talks and rock concerts.
