Resentful canadian here living in my surveillance SHITHOLE. The trajectory is overwhelmly horrible. Predicting country death (separation or war or muslim hybrid-conquest, in order of desireablity) before Trump leaves office...
I suspect these provincial efforts to seperate are comprmised. It is without a doubt the biggest threat to "Canada's" survival as we know it. "Canada" as we know it has been dead for a long time.
I suspect a clandestine effort (in a war footing) to infiltrate and destroy these seperation efforts effectiveness. However to keep them yapping in controlled opposition.
Is this WEXIT seperatation just a pony-show to keep us pacified for the 1-2 years before the ankle moniters and auto-kill switches are busted out?

I handled Canada for a year out of Atlanta back in the early 90s handling the telecom markets. I throughly enjoyed working with my Canadian friends from Vancouver to Ottawa.
Today, my remaining friends there are disgusted and furious... yet, still quite timid. But they each told me, there is a mounting discontentment there that is growing quickly and they can only take so much.
Equally interesting, what they are hearing, is they will indeed become a part of a new USA union and ultmately be a territory or an actual group of states to the USA. In saying this, they qualified their support of us only if we get our shit together here first. They wish they had a Trump in Ottawa

I lived and worked in Toronto in the Seventies. No, they're not.
Genetically, they're not much different, but as you point out, their culture is passive and obedient. And in the years since, I haven't seen any significant evidence of change.

I cant see a 3rd white country doing well. Doing well as a transitional state, yes. But the "parent-canada" would return with vengance just like the redcoats. So I think a US MIL garuntee would need to be a pre-requisite. Then at that point itll be a transitional state into become a US territory
