IMO Many union members are just as corrupt as the leadership. Many of them know don't care are too afraid of losing their job & pensions. The benefits out weight their morals. When they finally get busted, I won't shed any tears.
Yup. I was a teacher in public school in Pa. Refused to join; they came for me. Fought them tooth and nail as they tried putting me on a plan thinking I’d resign. Did everything and more so they couldn’t.
Ultimately left for private education; but I’m on of many non union members that they actively attempt to force out.
It really is scary how much indoctrination goes on in PA education system; these kids have zero chance the way they are being prepared to enter the world.
Goal was to be a beacon of light but impossible in that environment. Moved to Christian education; you give up a lot but of course never was about the money.
The public education system is hopelessly lost…so much I could say about it but you already know. I truly believe that was the plan all along. Indoctrinating them from a young age is much easier than trying to change someone’s mind after they’ve built a firm foundation.

Well, you don't get to be a Union Officer without having started in the lower ranks.
Same as the mafia days when the Unions funded their crime and casinos.
I came here to post this. Important stuff.
PA is a Union stronghold.

My sister started her teaching career in the 60's in the Pittsburgh public school system.
She refused to join the Union and crossed the picket line several times.
Needless to say she got married moved away and when she returned she taught in the Catholic school system.
