Me neither - the last one I had was a tetanus shot in 2015 - Iām not even getting that any more.
My last shot was tetanus too, about 2015 as well. I was 'hesitant'. The doc went on and on about 'safe and effective'. Lockjaw, blah blah. I caved. Got the shot, got ready to leave...
Doc: "You can't leave yet, you need to wait here for 15-20 minutes."
Me: "Oh? Why?"
Doc: "In case you go into anaphylactic shock."
Me: "What!? 30 seconds ago it was safe and effective!."
Doc: "Yeah, well, it's rare."
They also never mentioned it would not be effective for my present injury, even according to their own info!
So instead of 'safe and effective' it was 'risky and useless'.
Same, last injection I got as well. I was unconscious with a bone poking out of my arm however. Gimme a snowboard, skateboard, jeep, dirt bike, snowmobile, jet ski or anything else and I'll figure out how to do something stupid on it. Usually wake up in the ER and start pulling IV's and everything else off me. I once had to pull my own catheter out to make a run for the door.
That hurt to read..
I was picking my nose one time sitting in traffic months after breaking my nose the fourth time. Deviated septum. Found a wirey hair and started tugging on it. Felt like it was attached to the back of my brain... finally got home and grabbed on it with needle nose pliers and yanked like hell... way stranger than that tube in my pee-hole.
I swear part of my spine came out with it. Dissolveable stitches my ass! I'm tamig down with age, everything hurts more the older you get. 3 or 4 years since my last visit to the ER. It ain't the years it's the mileage. I'm still a pure blood though!
