I've been telling people this and I've been getting downvoted on all platforms by both sides. The Left wants to blame Trump and the Right keeps saying it's about paying for illegals' healthcare.
Both are wrong but this woman is right.
Not only that, but our senators have been promised a bonus of $3 Million each if the insurance companies get their way.
This Senate vote is just about keeping the lights on. It's not about negotiating new spending. But the Obamacare pay-outs to insurance companies were approved for 15 years in 2010. It's now 2025 so the handouts to the insurance companies have come to an end unless Congress approves it by the end of the year.
Now is not the time for this sort of thing but the Democrats know that if they don't get it to pass now then they only have two months to renegotiate and there's really no reason for Republicans to negotiate this bullshit if this current bill passes.
It's do or die for the Democrats because if they don't get the pork in the bill not only will they lose their $3 Million payout but they will lose their campaign contributions in any and all upcoming elections.
God bless all Republicans and any Democrat who crosses the line to vote in favor of the American public. They'll be sacrificing everything to do so.
This is so complex, that it took me a second to understand it, but if senators have been offered a 3M bonus just for keeping the obummer-scam going (beyond its legitimate use-by date), then we need to know. They may even had down-payments to delay debating the topic (i.e. the shut-down). Might explain the sudden urge to stay at a luxury resort in wine country, or something. Extra cash bonus and no need to go to work, type thing.
The excessive, and very-much-milked tax is on the backs of working Americans, I might add, the corrupt scum deserve to lose everything. Just because - it is the epitome of corruption: Taking a 3M payout for a vote against we the people, who are auto-milked every-time they get a pay-packet; but also in the annual tax return - when MOAR money is given by the government, to keep the insurance pyramid scam 'going' with benefits. Oh, and not to forget: those bribes, those are from handy-for-the-purpose slush funds, also originally taxpayer-funded. Kind of sick, it you start thinking about it.

If there is any proof of this pay-out scheme for senators, we'd be interested to see it: so - How does one promise to pay 3M? Via a contract, I imagine, because of the sum involved: or maybe have any transactions already been banked - that is, anyone tracking offshore accounts of these suddenly exercising-their-democratic-right to 'get-Trump' and taking the family for a sudden happy early holiday 'senators'? Might be an interesting data collection time, given there is a list.
In any case, insurance companies should not be writing policy. This is fundamental. So: Anyone in the pockets of insurance companies should recuse themselves involuntarily from the vote, until further notice, and then answer to their constituents. LOL. We can sEEEE you.
