Trump’s baffling beef boogaloo
The Trump administration has tried to throw an economic lifeline to the government of Argentinian President Javier Milei, whose economic reforms have led to considerable tumult there. U.S. farmers aren't too happy about it.
Sometimes helping a politically aligned ally is in the best interest of America. If a Liberal moved into Argentina and took over beef, and joined BRICS, America will lose another ally.
" Sometimes helping a politically aligned ally is in the best interest of America"
Helping an American farmer is in the best interest of America.

Carry on Patriot..
The American farmer is dead if BRICS takes over.
I have mixed feelings about this. Certainly. The big mega corporate farms would be hurting. Smaller family farmer would still thrive as their demographic is different. I haven't bought large corporate beef in decades. I buy from the small local farmer like most of my neighbors.
American farmers are maybe the most subsidized farmers in the world. I live amongst rice farmers and they are a bunch of lovely spoiled mfers.
It depends. Certainly a lot of them are, but if you were offered free money in a market that tightly regulated, you'd be stupid not to take it. The whole market is screwed up anyway, it's subsidized because it is so heavily regulated.
Almost all farms lose money on a constant basis because of the over regulation.
Farmers that lose money consistently lose their property to the bank. The farmers I know have been consistently profiting and the land has been family owned for generations. They get paid to not grow when water is being diverted to the ocean instead of reservoirs because it's California and retards have been in charge
Agree. I’m lost and confused. Was certainly expecting many things but very few of the things I see. Lefties are using shit like this to sway support, and I don’t blame the swayed. Wtf?

It's mainly because people are ignorant as to how farms actually work, and the excessive regulatory bodies that they must function under.
This. Plus pedes really need to understand this is not hurting the farmers. This is hurting the mega farm corporations that feed into big cities. Your average farmer is completely unaffected because their customers are a different demographic and normally wouldn't buy that beef anyway.
As a consumer, it's rather insulting to hear that our heavily subsidized US farmers are happy to be charging $8.00/pound+ for ground beef, and griping about Trump trying to help the American consumers. Sad.
I'm not extremely versed on this, but I'm of the understanding that the Big 4 meat package plants are the ones controlling the beef prices because they're getting it cheaper from out of country. RedPill78 had a good segment about it on his podcast on rumble. Argentina has some of the best Angus DNA and would be extremely good for our farmers to start breeding with those cattle and boost our meat production. Also, reintroduce the labels of origin on the meat so that we have the option in store to buy USA beef instead of Brazil or Mexico
This. Pedes need to be careful when you say "farmers" as if it applies to everyone.
Most small farmers are fine with this as beef imports mainly hurt the big beef producers. You really can call the big corporations farmers anymore.
REAL farmers are mostly unaffected by this in most areas and the consumers of this beef are the big cities, not rural areas.
For example, my family and relatives haven't bought Tyson meet for decades. It is nasty, gross and overpriced when you compare to local.
Needs to be a balance between whats good for farmers and what's good for struggling people who want to buy food.
"Needs to be a balance between whats good for farmers and what's good for struggling people who want to buy food."
...absolutely...
...there should be no children struggling to sleep or to learn because they are painfully hungry...
I don’t really have an opinion on this except that, for me, Trump has earned the benefit of the doubt. And it appears that American resources are being diverted from the Eastern Hemisphere to our own backyard in the Western Hemisphere. Which I am happy about.
Yes sir
President Milei is a great man. As an American, I have no problem helping him in whatever way we can. We need a lot more world leaders like he and President Trump.
Helps an ally, lowers our beef prices, helps the Republicans. It will take about 2 years for our ranchers to recover and meet the demand. US ranchers will get a little less per pound, but long term come out ahead. Especially due to Trump’s tariff deals.
