(KCAU) — Some Taco John’s locations will be offering a free meal deal following SNAP benefit cuts and other struggles caused by the government shutdown.
According to Taco John’s, they will be offering the “Community Special” to help people who are facing hardships caused by a lack of pay or SNAP benefit cuts caused by the government shutdown.
Taco John’s said that they will be offering the free meal to anyone who needs, no questions asked. To get the meal, you just need to ask for the “Community Special,” which includes a bean or beef burrito and an order of Potato Oles.
At this time, not all Taco John’s locations are offering the deal, so it is recommended that you call your local Taco John’s before you go.

My thought exactly. A nice gesture on the part of the company, but seems like something that could go south quickly.
Here in Canada anything like this gets swarmed by gimmiegrants
Those stores are going to need our prayers!
Those offering the free meal are going to need to have A LOT of patience and possibly physical protection from the hordes. Those not offering the free food will need the same because you know people will be irate even though it's the customers' fault for not checking.
Corporate's well meaning gesture is putting every one of their stores in the line of fire. It would have been better for them to set up distribution points. Perhaps partner with food banks.

I think their heart is in the right place, but never feed a stray.... I remember having to help remove 37 cats from around my grandma's house, good thing stray cats can't throw bricks and break windows :/
