My daughter lives in Florida and got an email from one of the kids public schools (elementary) that they may close the school for 2 weeks if the government shutdown continues much longer. Said they’d give the parents a weeks heads up before closing school.
Has anyone else been notified by the schools?
If public schools are closing because of no federal money flowing into their coffers I'd be at the next school board meeting wanting a very detailed explanation of WHERE IN THE #$@% DID MY REAL PROPERTY TAXES GO!!!!! Why am I being charges huge amounts of property taxes so little Sally and Johnny can get zero education and plenty of indoctrination?
While I pay 100% of my own kids education... and some of everyone else's or they will steal my house.
Well said!!!
NOT ONLY WELL SAID BUT ACTUALLY TO THE POINT OF THE SPEAR!!!!!!...These damn school boards need to realize that ONCE the UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS LEAVE...THERE is going to be a lot of finger-pointing as to where THE SCHOOL BUDGETS ARE GOING!!!!!
OOOOOH MYYYYYY...TO BE A FLY ON THE WALL WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!!!!!
Yup ;)
I wouldn't be surprised if it has something to do with the schools not getting their Fedbux for free breakfasts and lunches for kids in the low-income programs.
If it's for real, that is.
