To me, this looks like the beginning of the end for MAGA, despite my high hopes re: Q and the Great Awakening. H1B is a perfect test case, w/ Trump siding w/ the Broligarchs over young American college grads.
I give him an A+, A, and A- on just about everything else he's accomplished. But on H1B, he gets an F, and he's hemorrhaging political capital just in time for us to lose BIGLY come next November.
Its a tough thing because of how messed up things in academia are. I read a story recently that in 2023 13% of students who took a UC San Diego math assessment couldn't perform at first grade level.
Then, listening to a recent podcast with Tom Luongo, Halsey English, and EM Burlingame, they were discussing how we really need to be building infrastructure, but all the local municipalities wanna do housing because they don't make money off infrastructure. They say everything is skewed towards home building and it's the only real manufacturing base we have left, but it requires vast amounts of people to fill those homes so they pay the different taxes on the homes and what not.
Which appear to be true. I see multiple new higher end apartment complexes and neighborhood homes going up and less business or factory buildings. But I'm not seeing supply and demand economics reducing the cost of rent or homes like one would think to see with so many new properties.
I've yet to finish the podcast to hear their alternatives for the future, but it seems pretty grim. We're still in a place where more than a few "entry level" jobs want an associate's or bachelor's degree for $20/hrs pay, or 4 years relative experience, because no one wants to bring people in and train them. I can't help but feel that with the layoffs and the above, that business owners and corporations are trying to derail Trump's agenda in their own way at this point.

No. We have to do our part. We in the storm, are we at the precipice? Things are nonsensical. Only at the precipice will we change. How? What is the change expected of us?
We have our part to play, of course. But we're foolish if we think that the Prince of the Power of the Air, who has dominion over this realm for the time being, is simply going to roll over and play dead because we want him to.

Yep, she's been bashing Trump on CNN and even the Young Turks and The View. She's blamed the Schumer Shutdown on republicans. She praised Nancy Pelosi. She pushed the lefts lies about the the currency swap with Argentina. She's wants the $1.5 trillion in Obamacare subsidies. And that's all in the last few weeks, after it was made clear to her she has no path to governor or senator.
What did she think was going to happen?
She hasn't bashed Trump, the man. She's been critical of H1B and Israel, like a lot of good people in MAGA.

I remember when she was teaming up with people in Congress they're on the opposite side of events I can't remember who I'm not going to go look at all up I can't stand her.
If you're a legislator, and you're not reaching across the aisle to find consensus where it can be found, you're not doing your job.
You don't have to like her. But you have yet to supply any reasons to suggest that Trump was right by saying MTG is anti-MAGA, when she's the polar opposite.

No i think he's really done with MTG. I think he was on to something about her not ruining for senator. Like it's okay but trump has taken a few L's recently and we can't afford it.
I think MTG possibly running for some other office is noise, while her rock-solid MAGA stance on H1B was the signal Trump could no longer tolerate. Makes me wonder: what do the Broligarchs have on him or one of his loved ones?
Trump is not done with her. Trump is an expert numbers man. She has no way of winning. She doesn't want to hear that. She is not the first. Trump's been right every time so far.
I think Trump is using MTG to bring clarity.
Under Obama my friend was called in to train an Indian coming in for 6 months and then would be laid off. If he didn't like it he could take the layoff now he was told. Of course she was shocked and needed to continue to work.
After 3 weeks he said it was like digging your own grave and he had to leave. He was almost homeless before he got his next good job. He was living in New York City and moved to New Jersey during the fiasco to save money.
This was a job somebody was very much an expert in, IT, an American doing it well.
They were being kicked out for Indians.
This is about higher jobs we don't have anyone here to do who will be trained by them, then the Indians go back home.
The opposite of what Obama did. And we must fix the dumbing down.
Florida is a credit and contracting because we have houses to build and no one that knows how to build them. There was never school for that you just learned and went and took the test after studying the state book.
However we are lacking fathers for decades which means a child has not had a hammer in his hand and never built a dog house!
So we have to have school in Florida for that now, 18 months of school and starting salary of 99,000.
So true! We have got to teach our men how to build again. Weve become a weak computer based society that can barely unscrew a bolt. They don't teach jack to high school kids who could benefit off this training. There are so many kids who would love to learn to build but they are stuck in literature class learning about Shakespeare squirming in their seats and being prescribed ADHD meds to keep still and concentrate. Its shameful and I hope they can fix this now that the Dept of Ed is abolished.
I do believe we are at the point where a lot of decisions made seem out of line with what we thought the Q plan was. I believe we have no choice other than sit back and see what happens.
