Arguably his best role, too. There's been many actors that attempted to portray Jesus in various films, stage plays/musicals, and t.v. shows, but none of them will be remembered for it like Jim Caviezel.
To me it is the best movie about the Passion I have ever seen. Powerful.
I had seen a church easter play that was a very powerful moment for me. This movie was that X1000.

Iโm one of them. I strayed from Christ during my rebellious teenage years and after watching The Passion I was changed forever and returned.
Jim lost Hollywood but his roll as Jesus converted many to Christ. Jim's treasures in heaven are great since the only thing you can take from this world to heaven is those you lead to Jesus.
I avoided seeing this film for YEARS. I just couldnโt bear seeing the brutality against Christ. When I finally did it changed me. This film lets you see the magnitude of what Christ really endured for us! If this is you, if you are avoiding this film - pull on your big boy or girl pants and see it. See it! You will blessed and be glad you had the courage to experience it. He had the courage to die for us, knowing fully what His human form would endure. He felt every lash.
When I sin, I think about the stripes Jesus is taking for me. Thank you, Jesus Christ, for loving us and teaching us how to love others.

Amen. What Jesus went through and the movie portrayed it to the level that I went if Jesus went through that for ME,, lil ol' me.. I'm in his debt for eternity. I can go through anything now knowing what Jesus went through is worse than anyone else.
This movie was the first movie my future husband and I went to together. When we left the theater, all of us were either silent like weโd been struck or crying. By far, this is the most impactful movie Iโve ever experienced.
We are anxiously anticipating the release of the new movie, I think itโs supposed to be called โPassion of the Resurrection.โ
I can't wait to see him be the next Green Goblin :)

Really, a great story, but he didnโt need to hang on the cross for hours while filming and get hypothermia and pneumonia. The director and tech people could easily have prevented that, and they were negligent. Having made films, I can guarantee there are ways of taking care of the actors in these types of shoots.
This is so odd, I've owned the DVD for years but I still haven't watched it.
It's the only film in my collection I haven't watched, and don't know why.
