The husband of my wife’s friend is in hospice care at a Mennonite facility. His wife has been with him, talking to him, and singing to him. She fell asleep at the bedside and when she woke up, she saw an angel relatively clearly, wings and all. He is still holding on. I thought that I would pass that on to my frens with a request for prayers.

The Divine Mercy Chaplet is a wonderful prayer to say over the dying. The Pieta Prayer book also has some great prayers for the dying. St. Joseph, Patron Saint of a peaceful death, pray for us.
Prayers to Saint Joseph are very comforting.
The Divine Mercy chaplet is one of my favorite prayers for those who are sick and possibly dying.
