RIP Privacy — AI Glasses Can Now Recognize Anyone, Anywhere.
A Dutch journalist just tested a pair of AI-powered glasses that can instantly identify strangers on the street.
No government database. No police system. Just public data and off-the-shelf AI.
You look at someone and in seconds, their name, LinkedIn, and background appear before your eyes.
The scariest part? You can’t really stop it.
You can ban it, regulate it, add blinking red lights… but once tech like this exists, someone will always find a way to use it.
To me, this marks a turning point.
We’ve officially blurred the line between seeing people and knowing them.
Between being in public and being exposed.
So here’s the question:
When every face becomes a dataset, how do we protect the meaning of being human?
AI glasses jammer. Cut me in for 5%.
Someone will sell a service blocking your information.
Or, it can be scrambled with multiple data sets being applied to you.
Exactly. If people realized how much info about them was already out there floating around and how easy it would be for anyone who had an extra $29.99 burning a hole in their pockets to get your address, phone numbers, family members, where they live and their numbers, where you went to school, where you work, your driving record, your police record, if/when/where you voted, your email addresses, your screen name on various message boards and websites you post on, all court matters you've ever been involved in, your credit rating, etc....they would probably be shitting themselves and then looking for data removal companies to clean up their digital footprint.
This is just going to be a new branch in personal data management. 🤷♀️
Better learn how to be unpredictable.
Glad we have all of those realistic looking masks. Better stock up I guess.
That’s the million dollar question now isn’t it? Perhaps someone will come out with a new technology. Maybe definitions will evolve and change.
We’re living through the fallout and logical outcome of making everything a commodity that has piles of money that can be made via its exploitation.
There’s nothing sacred and private in a Market if there’s money to be made. The most logical outcome is a development of a pricey service that can scrub you from the internet. Meaning the only people able to afford any measure of anonymity and privacy would be the rich.
And the groups who don’t have social media/linkedin. Or a Digital Footprint.
indeed commodification.
Put on your AI powered invisibility cloak. 🙈
AI does not have a will nor qualia. Humans do. What this system is trying to occupy is the one area were humanity is shining: declaration of will.
The whole digitization, the concentration of big Business based on inflatable money and usury i.e. vulture and crony capitalism is about one thing: limiting choice.
Take away choice, and no humanity is needed, let alone desired.
Those who mess with this shit, may very well be enemies of humanity, and commit crimes against humanity.
