Im 42 and I did a 3 month stretch that started with a month of gluten free (more personal for digestive reasons), no sugar and no booze and hit the weights pretty hard (averaged about 5 lifts a week) and occasionally got a hike in with the wife and kids on the weekend. Dropped 30 pounds which, 1-2 pounds a week, is considered a healthy rate to lose weight.
Biggest game changer was heavily strengthening legs.
Point is, it’s easy to get caught up in numbers, but that type of weight loss is doable without going overboard and just eating meat.
I tried this for about 6 months but I also only ate 1600 calories and averaged 3lb a week loss from 260 to 180 then i switch to just a high protein only, meat, plant and dairy and bumped the calories up more. I've also did this without adding any exercise or workout to my day because I didnt want to waste my time off exercising. I feel I get plenty of exercise at work moving about. Its been a year since this and im still 180 which is dead center for my Bmi

Anyone who wants to be neutered should join the vegan cult.
