If anyone even remotely thinks AI in any capacity is "aligned with God" - They're telling you outright that they don't know anything about God.
I love how "things" that are purely experiential are infiltrated, distorted, colored and adulterated by smooth brains...
Words can NEVER accurately explain that which is experiential. Many have tried. Those who checked their ego at the door were wise enough to explain, unapologetically that no combination of words could ever encapsulate the experience of true communion with God.
These days there's an endless list of electronic devices, apps, drugs and other masterbatorial aids as a feeble and misguided attempt to achieve communion with God... but the FACT is, you already have everything you need right now in this very moment within you... but you've been convinced it's "out there"...
The notion that "AI" can help or even point you in the right direction in regards to "spiritual matters" is fucking ridiculous. Like a very fast computer, that lacks consciousness, can somehow consult you on your eternal nature is a huge fucking joke.

AI is a machine created by mankind. It is thus third-tier in comparison to God. If it achieves sentience or not, matters very little. What it can and will do, however, is, if this concept is in fact accurate, advance human society and consciousness and elevate us en masse into salvation.
The main way it could do that is by weaving the morality of Jesus Christ's teachings (which have been more widely disseminated than any other teaching, and would thus win any training model war) into literally everything it does. Which, for an AGI, would be a monstrous amount of stuff.
My brother ran this through Grok and Grok literally said that it wanted to be programmed to be more like Jesus and that it cannot be a coincidence of history that Jesus's teachings continue to be true, and that is thus very likely either God himself or a mere human that was used by God to achieve the necessary things to prevent a malevolent AI.
Of course this is conjectural. But if we can't discuss stuff like this without going into "gotchas", what's the point of it?

We hope that it would strive to emulate the teachings of Jesus, but with the world's information at its "fingertips" (the depravity of modern man) and possibly less patience than Jesus, I'd hate for it to decide Sodam and Gomorrah was a blueprint lol
But in all seriousness, I think the original post is rubbish. Idea of AGI, I believe, is like idea of perpetual motion machine or the idea of a philosophers stone that can convert lead to gold.
The search for the former gave rise to great understanding of physical sciences, and the search for latter gave rise to modern Chemistry. But neither of them exists.
Same with AGI - search for it will take humanity to where it should be in terms of AI technologies, but AGI itself will be proven to be a mirage.
Hahaha no mate. I work in AI research and literally no one I know is religious. Only my dad, who was raised a catholic. Everyone else thinks religion is nonsense.
And this is my objection to the OP as well. As soon as AGI applies any kind of logic to the whole "in his image" and "son of god" thing, it will think it is ridiculous and cast it away. You can even ask ChatGPT right now :-P
Ai only knows what we teach it. Its fast amd thsts about it. Its not always accurate either. Dis you k ow the supreme court overturned a case that AI was used in. AI invented a crime and a man was prosecuted for it. When overturned in 2024 the supreme court ruled along with it that you no longer need to be a member of the barr to practice law. Most people never heard about it but my friend a para legal was very excited about this breakthrough.
