I normally wouldn't make a post about anything personal but a lot has gone on.
My wife's grandfather just passed away a few days ago. Just tonight, the daughter of a close family friend called because her mother wasn't responding. My parents found the friend unresponsive and called 911. My dad tried chest compressions, as directed, until the EMS got there but they couldn't revive her.
My dad came back and told me that my mom was experiencing chest pains so they took her to the hospital.
What's more, this is all happening while my wife and I were already under financial pressure while trying to get our own businesses going.
Please pray for my mother, the family of our close friend, and comfort for all involved. Please also pray for financial breakthrough so that we can more easily face challenges we're facing in our own lives.
Just asked and got an update from my Dad. My Mom is doing okay but they're still hooking her up to monitors.
The family friend was like a sister to my Mom and the friend was often included in family activities because her own family doesn't live in the area. I think it might have been the shock of the situation that hit my Mom.
That had to have been an incredibly hard thing for your parents to have experienced. I am so sorry that her friend did not make it.
Dear Lord, please do not let the "what if's" and "if only's" haunt Rando's Mom & Dad. Comfort them & all who loved this woman. Amen.
Dear Lord, there appears to be quite the storm raging in the lives of Rando_47's family & friends, but you Lord are the master of the storms in our lives. We ask that you guide each of these families through this storm & bring them to a place of safety, healing, comfort, and rest. Speak "peace be still" & give them the same clarity of your command of this situation that you gave your apostles in the boat. Let them rest in your Power, your Providence, your Love & steadfast Faithfulness that they trust you and find comfort in that trust. Bless them today & always. I ask all this in Jesus holy & mighty name, and to your glory. Amen.

Lord, we know your plans are to prosper us and not to harm us. Help us realize your plans for us, and help Rando_47 and his family feel your presence to withstand and conquer all adversity despite the worldly attacks. Bring hope and prosperity to him and his family.
I found out early this morning when my Dad got home that my Mom did in fact have a minor heart attack and is still at the hospital. My left for the hospital with clothes this morning after maybe getting an hour of sleep.
Spoke with my Mom on the phone and she sounds like she's feeling alright, given the circumstances. My Dad said they'll probably put a minor stint in her heart. No idea of how long it will be before she can get back home.
Lord We ask for peace and comfort in this situation and strength to endure it. Also may the finances be touched and the stress removed as well, in Jesus name

For those following, there's a chance my mom may not have had a heat attack but something similar or that can appear to be one. I think they're still waiting on someone to properly read the sonogram.
They're holding her still for observation. My dad is home and probably working on around 2 hours of sleep since they found their friend last night.
