🐩 FWIW according to a study I read yrs ago, poodles typically rank highest for dog intellect... though "intelligence" varies widely depending on various factors.

Why first "Time Preference" and then "Moral Code"? Because transgressing against the most basic of morals is a matter of economy. That is where High Trust comes in. And only where High Trust reigns: a society/culture shows signs of success and viability. Otherwise, subsistence is the consequence.
If you doubt it, read the old Testament, or Book of the dead Or, if you will: listen to James Brown's song: Woman. Or, analyze any realtionship, any marriage. Morals are negotiable if and when opportunity arises. And that is where virtue shines. And virtue leads to trust. Trust leads to community and success.
